This is more basic camping than Mahoora (though is run by the same company) and only takes place in the wilderness zones near Yala National Park, Ude Walawe and Wilpattu National Park. The tents are locally made and come with a spacious a bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.
Warwick Gardens hotel is an elegantly converted Scottish tea planter’s house. It has all the conveniences of the 21st century but does give a feel of the Edwardian age. To the front there are beautiful views of the mountains. Warwick Gardens is on the way to Horton Plains. Being in the hills, it is much cooler and therefore no need for air conditioning. The hotel is a great place to unwind and take in the views.
This is a beautifully converted 19th century Tea Estate Bungalow, with 3 individually designed bedrooms) within the main house. These rooms have private verandahs which overlook the beautiful hotel gardens. It also has the separate, Planters Cottage with 2 double bedrooms. There has recently been the addition of 2 Garden Apartments and a lovely pool. There is a verandah restaurant. The grounds consist of an estate of about 11 acres of organic fruit and veg.

It is very much a step back in time to a more genteel age with lots of mementoes and photos.
