THE SRI LANKAN TEAM
The Managing Director of the company is Peter Fernando, who has been in the Tourism Industry in Sri Lanka for over 25 years. He is one of the country’s leading National Tourist Guide Lecturers and has been qualified for over 20 years, with a number of awards to his name including an award from the Sri Lankan Tourism Board. He knows Sri Lanka intimately which means that we are able to organise visits and arrange activities so you can really get under the skin of the country and experience the real Sri Lanka!
Our team understands the requirements of holidaymakers from all corners of the world. Peter has been able to impart that knowledge to the company’s Sri Lankan Guides and Drivers so they are fully understanding of our customers’ needs and expectations so that the service that The Unique Travel company provides is second to none.
We have visited all the hotels that the company uses and have experienced all the activities so we can give you an honest opinion of things you want to include in your itinerary as well as many travel tips!
The team has been actively involved in the raising of funds for the Projects that the company supports in Sri Lanka such as building Tsunami houses, providing English books for schools, toys for Orphanages and Feast Days for poor people.
Sue Gregory and Peter Fernando formed The Unique Travel company (Sri Lanka) Limited as a British registered company in 2007 and ran it for some 10 years. From the end of April 2018, Sue retired from the business and to ensure that everything The Unique Travel company (Sri Lanka) Limited offers, Peter launched a new business called The Unique Travel company and based in Sri Lanka which will incorporate everything we have been known for in the past 10yrs with the same high levels of personal service, great choice, and intimate knowledge of everything Sri Lankan at a highly competitive price.

IN SRI LANKA
All our Chauffeur guides are local Sri Lankans who are qualified to take to drive up to 6 tourists around and act as a guide. They all drive air-conditioned vehicles and are careful drivers. Their English is good so you will have no problems with communication.
