The Fort Printers is an 18th century mansion right within the heart of the Dutch Fort in Galle, which has been restored into an elegant small private hotel yet retaining the original architecture. There are no sea views as the hotel is in the middle of the Fort but the hotel does have a small (and rather thin) pool.
This is a brand new luxurious townhouse which has been sensitively converted from historic buildings right in the heart of the Dutch Fort in Galle (17th century UNESCO World Heritage Site). This is a small intimate hotel offering high levels of service and comfort. Complimentary afternoon tea and house cocktail are included. It is a sister hotel of the renowned Wallawwa at Ekala.
This is a small 10 bedroomed family run hotel in Mirissa, on the land-side by the Galle Road.
The best beaches are a short tuk-tuk ride away from the hotel in Mirissa.
The hotel’s restaurant serves a tasty fusion of Sri Lankan and Occidental dishes freshly prepared with local products. In between the normal meal times the restaurant also offers delightful snacks that can be enjoyed while you explore the beautiful settings. Above the restaurant is the Esprit d’ici bar which serves a selection of refreshing drinks throughout the day.
The focal point for those looking to relax at the hotel is no doubt the infinity pool which overlooks the majestic Mirissa jungle.
This is a luxury colonial beach villa which has 6 rooms all decorated in different designs so giving them all a very different feel. There are spectacular sea views from the terrace but unfortunately, it is not safe to swim directly in front of the hotel but there is instead a magnificent infinity pool.
Casa Colombo Collection is a brand new hotel opened in early 2015 and as such has all mod-cons. The hotel itself has a particularly innovative design style with elements of fun in its interior. Having only 6 rooms, it does feel very intimate and with its highly personalised service (each suite has its own Casa Domo -private butler), would suit couples looking for a blissful beachside retreat. There is a 33ft fly-bridge yacht for hire for romantic sundowner cruises or whale-watching.
A luxurious small boutique hotel set right by the beach. The hotel is made up of 3 villas which contain 7 suites. The hotel has the most fantastic infinity pool fringed with swaying palms.
You cannot swim from the beach by the hotel but there is safe swimming a short walk along the beach between December and April. As Unawatuna is so close, you can always go and swim/snorkel there very safely. The hotel is only 30mins from Galle so it is a perfect location if you wish to visit that.
